RECESSION: Sorry, you can’t eat here.

July 21, 2010 – 9:42 pm

I know the recession is real because I’m in the retail furniture business.

On Wednesday night I decide I’m going to take the family out to eat.

50 minute wait at Outback. 35 minute wait at Olive Garden. Even 20 minute waits at Ruby Tuesday’s and Chilis. We finally ended up eating “good in the neighborhood”.

What’s up with that?

(By the way, thanks to the several <three, maybe?> loyal readers that have expressed their discontent in my recent decision to stop spouting off about local politics)

  4. I take it this would be a low profile? Whatever is going on… I hope it works.

This restaurant thing puts me in mind of how many folks were Christmas Shopping last year.

Much of this recession is very real. Some of it is folks planning for worse.

  8. real politicians don’t blog. they just text like a banshee at meetings and tell others how to live their life. i guess it’s okay to have a political persuasion as long as you keep it to yourself.
