Photo: 9 Bloggers Attend ConvergeRIGHT 2009
July 9, 2009 – 2:53 am
Thanks to Jeffrey Sykes for organizing ConvergeRIGHT 2009. The nine bloggers shown above met, of all places, in left field at the Grasshoppers game Wednesday night.
From left to right: Sam Hieb, Sam Spagnola, Jeffrey Sykes, Tony Wilkins, Beelzebubba, Cheripickr, Joe Guarino, “bubba”, and Keith Brown.
We consoled those who attended that have been banned or suspended or belittled at a very complex and extremely liberal blog. We consoled those who have been called morons and trolls and liars. That consolation included high fives and belly bumps.
Kidding. In reality, we had a great time at the baseball game getting more acquainted. I got to meet the two Sams for the first time and several there had not met each other outside the blogworld. This might be a monthly get together. E-mail me if you want to join us.

That’s a fine looking bunch. I enjoyed hanging out with you all.
I would be up for frequent recurrences.

Indeed, a good time was had by all. Tony’s one regret of the evening was that he didn’t get a bigger bag of beef-burgers-extra-sauce on the way home. Hey, how about Beef Burger as a future gathering site of the writing right?

When do we go?
I’ve lived in Greensboro 17 years now, and I have YET to make the Pilgrimage.
Cheri might not approve, though.

bubba: 1 beef burger has all 9 of the 7 major food groups:
grease
fat
3 sugars
starch
food coloring
dead animal flesh(beef)
xylem
water
When you put vinegar, mustard and hot sauce on your fries, you pass the gastronomic/vascular barrier as described by the FDA, WHO and MFAMADD.

Bubba, it’s worth the trip across town. Order the regular size Biff Burger with extra sauce. You may want to consider ordering about 4 of them. If you eat those while you’re there you’ll probably order four more to take home.

Beelzebubba doesn’t look anything like I’d imagined. Did you all sit in the Jim Melvin suite? Did Janet Napolitano have a representative there? Another pocket of the VRWC to root out before y’all blow something up no doubt. Were any of the great unwashed (those without their own blog) at least allowed to approach for autographs? Why wasn’t Roch invited?

I’ve posted an online petition addressed to Kay Hagan stating opposition to the public option plan now in Congress.
I am doing this as a grassroots effort to make my voice heard.
If you live in NC and agree with my petition, please sign it and let your friends know about it.

Roger: I can occupy any lifeform which has a pulse and those that don’t by appointment only. Everyone was invited and the only thing I observed unnatural was a left handed catcher’s mitt. Sam H carried around that 3-headed baby all night and no one noticed, which displays how much diversity and sensitivity training everyone had. Go figger.

“Bob “bubba” Grenier” — so that’s the infamous Bubba, huh? Good looking guy.
Do you have any idea why he asked Guarino to remove comments that referred to him by name? I thought it might be because he got to be such an obnoxious and outrageous bully behind his pseudonym that he was embarrassed to have his words attached to him. But I see that this post remains, so that can’t be it.
